This laptop is operating under Kernel version 2.6.20-1.2312.fc5
Basic Installation of Fedora Core 5:
I like the FC5 distro because it's sober and mainstream with a lot of support for about anything
I downloaded the image and burned the DVD. Never used it again, all extra packages install by the net
Installing was easy, I selected some extra packages and unselected some others. Advice: install both Gnome and KDE with everything (also developer packages)
I do a regular update and install extras from source or package.
Setting up additional features for Fedora Core 5
The wifi led, the new-mail led and extra buttons are setup now. They all work with acpi4asus
